ABOUT IAN THORNTON-TRUMP
Ian Thornton-Trump CD: ITIL-certified cyber veteran with 30 years of experience across intelligence, law enforcement analysis, enterprise security and consulting.
He served in the Canadian Forces Military Intelligence Branch (1989–1992), later joined Canadian Forces Military Police Reserves, and retired as Public Affairs Officer.
He spent time as Criminal Intelligence Analyst with the RCMP, then moved into cyber-security consultancy across multiple sectors (insurance, banking, healthcare), and eventually became CISO at a leading threat-intelligence firm.
Currently he holds the role of CISO at Inversion6, leading their UK/EU expansion and bringing advanced threat intelligence and security operations expertise to organisations of all sizes.
Ian doesn’t offer generic “cyber hygiene” talks. He deals in real risk — geopolitical, systemic, emergent. His value lies in connecting dots most security speakers don’t even notice.
If you need sober, forward-looking clarity on what happens when politics, war and tech collide — he’s one of the few speakers who can deliver that without eyewash.
